Teaching
We see teaching as an essential part of our scientific work. At the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences (GSN-LMU), we contribute annual lectures on Gene Regulatory Mechanisms in Brain Development and have recently developed new courses on Neurogenesis and Axonogenesis. Each year, we also offer a one-week hands-on practical course for GSN students on Perturbation Sequencing for Functional Genomics in Neural Development, giving participants direct experience with state-of-the-art methods.
At LMU’s Faculty of Biology, we run a weekly Master’s seminar on Neuronal Lineage and Cell Fate Determination and contribute lectures and methodology courses to the IMPRS-LS graduate program. Beyond Munich, our group has also been active internationally, for example as instructors at the CAJAL Summer School (FENS/IBRO) in Bordeaux on Single-Cell Profiling and Analysis in Neuroscience.
